Just got back from the UK :)

And I soooo wish I was still there. It was everything I thought it would be and more. If you are on FB, I have posted tons of pics on there. It would take forever to put them on here. And Orion, Glencoe was simply spiritual. Pictures cannot do it justice. I understand how you loved it so much. It's breathtaking.

Glencoe

London was fabulous. I could never live there, but it was a great city to visit. Paris was pretty, but everyone is so freakin' rude there. Everyone in the UK was super nice and courteous. I had a wonderful conversation with a Welshman who taught at the local university while playing some pool.

And the highlight of the trip was getting to see Diane again. She is a truly remarkable person that not only took so much of her own time helping me plan this trip, something I could never have done on my own, but showed me London and Peterborough her hometown. It was wonderful spending time with her and her lovely family.

Scott, Heather, Lara, Shannon, Stephanie, and Kim

Of course I had to get into a real red phone box :)

It was a wonderful trip and I am so glad we did it :)

Hey Melly, SO glad (and jealous!) you vacationed across the pond. Your FB pics are awesome, and again it's fabulous that you were able to meet up with our old mate, Miss Kate!

Next time, let's try to plan it so we're all there at the same time!

And I'm glad you got to experience Glencoe as I did - and London too...Pity you couldn't possibly experience Edinburgh through our chalk-drawing viewpoint. :-)

But you can see why I love the UK so much. It's definitely the ancestral home - but like any child's home, you can't go back again. We're on our own, independent and making our own way.

But we'll always keep a warm place in our heart for where we came from...

Janna- I know. It was a definite highlight of the trip. Orion- Yes we do need to plan to all be there at the same time. Unfortunately the rain ruined my Edinburgh experience :( The chalk drawing experience is exclusive to Mary and Bert that's for certain ;)

Ooooh and you got to meet up with Kate!! How lovely Melly!! :-)

I must get into Facebook and check out your picturs, I'm so glad you had such a great time. England has called to me from far away since I can remember, I must have been there in a previous life. Welcome home hon!

I know just what you mean Jude. I know I was there in a past life. It's that compelling. It was a very spiritual journey for me :) And meeting up with Kate was definitely a great bonus. She is truly wonderful.
